Our Partners
Overview
MINDS’ work is supported by a network of dedicated organisations and individuals who share our vision of a more inclusive and compassionate society. These valued partnerships enable us to extend our impact and deliver person-centred programmes and services toß persons with intellectual disability (ID) and their families.
Partners in Inclusion
Each haircut is a moment of connection. Interacting with them has taught me patience and given me joy. Their smiles and trust make it all worthwhile.”
Terjo Hair Studio
Terjo Hair Studio
Since 2016, Terjo Hair Studio, led by Ms Joanna Tang, has been generously offering complimentary haircuts to our clients. What started as a small initiative has since expanded into a regular event, where her team serves up to 20 clients across 3 Community Hubs. For caregivers, arranging a haircut for their loved ones can be a challenge. But thanks to the team’s skill, warmth and dedication, each session becomes more than just a haircut—it’s a meaningful experience that builds lasting bonds and brings joy to our community.
Doing good with friends makes the experience even more meaningful—we learn, grow, and uplift together.”
Cheam Zhi Jie, Lucas
Cheam Zhi Jie, Lucas
Lucas’s journey began at Singapore Polytechnic’s Mission X (a Youth Corps Singapore Programme), where he first learned about MINDS. Volunteering with the Me Too! Club was initially challenging—interacting with persons with ID felt unfamiliar and overwhelming. However, Lucas soon grew more empathetic and confident. Seeing clients’ smiles and friendships bloom motivates him to keep doing good and inspires his friends to join in and help build a more inclusive community.
They are different, especially in the way they seek love, understanding, care, happiness and acceptance. As our society advances, it is our responsibility to ensure that the needs of this group are properly addressed.”
Choo Joon Yong
Choo Joon Yong
Joon Yong started volunteering with MINDS by joining the outings and looking after clients who might need extra attention and care. Over time, his confidence grew alongside the trust he earned from the clients. What started as occasional volunteering evolved and in the last few years, he has taken on a more active role, supporting MINDS training officers during lessons and programmes.

Volunteer & Donor Appreciation Day
The biennial event honours and celebrates the unwavering commitment of our partners–organisations and individuals who generously give their time, talent and treasure. Your support empowers MINDS to uplift lives and build a more inclusive society for persons with ID and their families. Thank you for being a Friend of MINDS
