Lee Kong Chian Gardens School
MINDS Lee Kong Chian Gardens School (LGS) is a special education school that integrates academic learning with character development, life skills and personal interests. Guided by core values, students with intellectual disability (ID) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) enjoy a balanced education and engage in activities that foster growth and independence. LGS also works closely with parents and community partners to provide a quality school experience for all students.
LGS isn’t just a school—it’s a vibrant community where every child's individual strengths are at the heart of everything we do.

Signature Programmes
ProjectPal
ProjectPal is a student-led, interest-driven ASD-ID programme for Upper Junior and Senior Level students. Through collaborative group projects, students develop social interaction, language and academic skills. LGS also uses structured teaching strategies tailored to students’ needs, including visual schedules, personalised workstations and picture-based communication tools to support meaningful engagement and learning.
SUCCESS@LGS
The SUCCESS (SUpporting Communication, Collaboration, Employability and Self-Management Skills) framework equips students for life beyond school, empowering them to thrive as active, contributing members of society. Anchored in R3ICH values (Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Integrity, Care & Harmony), it fosters independence through daily living skills, social-emotional learning and community mobility; builds competence via functional academics, physical education and arts and music; and enhances employability through vocational education, industry exposure, and health and fitness development.
Learning & Behavioural Support
Since 2023, LGS has implemented Positive Behavioural Interventions and Supports (PBIS), fostering a culture centred on positive behaviour and nurturing a community of Active Learners, Gracious Students and Safety Advocates. In 2025, the school adopted MOE’s Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) to improve academic and behavioural outcomes through differentiated instruction, and appropriate, timely intervention.
