Fernvale Gardens School
MINDS Fernvale Gardens School (FGS) offers a nurturing, engaging environment for children with intellectual disability (ID) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Learning at FGS is filled with discovery and joy, with a customised curriculum tailored to each child’s needs. We combine skill development with personal interests to foster independence, build confidence and inspire a lifelong curiosity for learning.
FGS isn’t just a school—it’s a vibrant community where every child's individual strengths are at the heart of everything we do.

Signature Programmes
Project TeamUP!
FGS is the first MINDS School to introduce an ASD-ID programme that empowers students through real-world, interest-driven learning. Students develop skills in research, collaboration, decision-making, and self-evaluation of their contributions to community-serving projects. This authentic learning approach boosts engagement and builds confidence and a lifelong love of learning.
Habits@MINDS
Students cultivate routines and habits through structured activities that promote independence, adaptability and daily life readiness.
Little Explorer Programme (LEP)
This programme invites students aged 7 to 10 to explore sports, outdoor education, music, and arts. Through hands-on experiences, they develop communication skills, teamwork and curiosity while discovering new passions.

These experiences nurture confidence, creativity and collaboration. In recognition of its impact, Project TeamUP! was awarded the Certificate of Commendation at the MOE–SG Enable Innovation Award 2023.

Family-School Collaboration
“Through close family-school collaboration, we aligned Nuri’s development and education goals more effectively. By maintaining consistent communication and sharing tailored resources and strategies with his parents and therapists, we built a strong partnership. This shared commitment and ongoing feedback empowered Nuri to grow in confidence—expressing full requests, working independently, and writing his name legibly with pride.”
