Since her early teens, Sharon took on the role of a sibling caregiver to her sister with special needs, and often struggled between being an authoritative figure and a fun-loving companion. Despite a 10-year age gap with her sister, Priscilla, who was diagnosed with mild intellectual disability since birth, the sibling pair has built a special and strong bond over the years. Watch this video for a peek at how they express their love and support for each other while navigating through life together.
Sibling caregivers often juggle among family, friends, studies and eventually work. The MINDSibs community allows them a space to connect with like-minded individuals and to seek respite and encouragement.
