Planning for the Future of Your Loved Ones

Caring for loved ones with disabilities can be a challenging task, and planning for their future can add to the stress. However, ensuring that your family member with disabilities receives continuous care is crucial for your peace of mind. At MINDS, we understand this, and we are committed to supporting you every step of the way in your caregiving journey. To help caregivers build a future care plan for their family members with disabilities, MINDS has created a user-friendly online tool. Our tool considers your loved one's needs and desires and helps you explore legal, financial, health, and accommodation options available in the community. With MINDS, you can be confident that you are making informed decisions about your family member's future care.

Deputyship

When a person (P) lacks mental capacity, a court can appoint a Deputy to make certain decisions on their behalf. Typically, the Deputy is a family member who acts in the best interest of (P). MINDS has been appointed as the Agency to provide guidance and assistance to caregivers who are applying for simplified deputyship under the Assisted Deputyship Application Programme (ADAP). If you would like to learn more about ADAP, please contact our Future Care Planning team at fcp@minds.org.sg.
