Formulation and implementation of individualised care plans

Planning for the Future of Your Loved Ones

Planning for the future of your loved ones is not easy, but ensuring loved ones are continually cared for is a necessary salve to ease the mind of family members. At MINDS, we uphold our commitment to walk hand in hand with you in your caregiving journey and beyond by guiding your application for deputyship.

What is Deputyship?

Everyone has to make decisions in life. Under the Mental Capacity Act (MCA Cap 177A), a person who is certified to lack mental capacity requires a deputy – a court-appointed individual (age 21 years old and above) who is granted specific powers by the Court to make decisions for the benefit and welfare of the person. MINDS offers:
  • MSF Assisted Deputyship Application Programme (Below 21 years old) We guide parents/caregivers of persons with special needs in applying to Court to be deputies for their child/ward after he or she turns 21.
  • NUS Deputyship Student Assistances Programme (Above 21 years old) We guide parents/caregivers of adults with special needs in applying to Court to be deputies with assistance from NUS Law students and guidance from NUS Centre for Pro Bono & Clinical Legal Education.

Disability Case Management Programme
