The MINDS Colour Socks Parade (CSP) 2025 is in its fourth edition with a powerful message – inclusivity through sport is not just possible, it is essential. Held under the theme “One Heart, One MINDS: Celebrating Inclusivity Through Sports”, this year’s campaign brought the community together to celebrate the abilities and achievements of Persons with Intellectual Disability (PWIDs), while shining a spotlight on the transformative impact of inclusive sports.
MINDS has launched a public education campaign, My Way, a meaningful initiative designed to raise awareness, foster understanding and celebrate the abilities of Persons with Intellectual Disability (PWIDs). Through this campaign, MINDS aims to go beyond passive awareness, actively engaging and building a society that embraces and supports every individual in the PWID community.
In a significant step towards supporting Persons with Intellectual
Disability (PWIDs) and their caregivers, MINDS reopened the MINDS IDEA Employment Development
Centre (IEDC) under a new name, MINDS Regional Hub (Hougang) together with a revamped post-18
service model. The opening ceremony was graced by Guest-of-Honour, Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for
Social and Family Development, Second Minister for Health and Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs.
The opening night of the annual MINDS Film Festival (MFF) 2024 at
Shaw Lido Theatres on Friday, 13 September 2024, witnessed the attendance of close to 300 guests including caregivers, clients, MINDS partners, volunteers, and other distinguished guests. The event was graced by Guest of Honor, Ms Jane Ittogi, with an opening video message from MINDS Patron, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam.

MINDS plans to set up two more MINDS Hubs over the next two years to reach out to more PWIDs and their families living in the western and eastern regions of Singapore.
MINDS Bakers at SMEDC underwent an upgrade last year to enhance trainees’ training, further develop their skills in the field of baking and production through WSQ accreditation and increase the production output of the facility. The upgraded MINDS Bakers was opened by Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Social and Family Development and Ministry of Culture, Community & Youth this morning.
