Clementi Day Activity Centre was officially opened by Minister for Community Development, Mr Abdullah Tarmugi on 14 th July 1995 .It was set up basically to serve the clients in the western sector of Singapore .
Day Activity Centre provides service to the Intellectually Disabled adults and graduates from MINDs schools who cannot be placed in Open Employment or unable to continue in our Employment Development Centres. Their presence at our centre also allows their families to pursue their careers, while still caring for them.

MINDs have renamed our Day Activity Centre to Training & Development Centre on 1 st June 2000. This will help dispel the perceived notion that the former DACs (Day Activity Centre) were nothing more than "Baby-sitting" Centres. The TDCs (Training & Development Centre) are much more than that. They provide training in Activities of Daily Living Skills, Community Living Skills, Social and Recreational Skills as well as Pre-vocational Skills.
