The centre's programs emphasize on improving self-help, social skills & functional abilities for intellectually disabled adults who do not qualify for entry into sheltered workshops. Focus is given to maximize the clients' potentials, upgrade their skill level, so as to facilitate social integration and if possible, prepare them for transition to the EDCs
The emphasis on improving clients' self-help skills is in line with the MINDs vision to integrate them into mainstream society through developing their social and physical independence. This includes activities of daily living e.g. toileting, bathing, personal hygiene and grooming, household chores, cleaning, setting up table for meal times, washing, mopping and sweeping etc.

This is vital for the maintenance and promotion of cognitive skills, which will provide the clients with the base of knowledge to acquire skills in other areas of development that will promote their integration. Subject components includes:-
Our clients have benefited through activities such as the indoor / outdoor activities like swimming, bowling, sports, physical education, community mobility, excursion/outing, karaoke and games, music and movement, art and craft, gardening, hobbies, information technology etc. Through activities it enhanced not only their functional abilities but also develop their social skills, which were essential for social integration.
