Speech Language Therapists
Speech and Language Therapists are qualified with professional degree
in Speech and Language Pathology from overseas universities to diagnose
speech, language and communication disorders and implement intervention
programmes in the following areas:
- Difficulty with producing sounds for speech
- Difficulty understanding and using language
- Difficulty with fluency (Stuttering)
- Difficulty with voice quality
- Swallowing and feeding
- Difficulty with hearing
- Alternative and augmentative communication (AAC)

- Screen, assess and diagnose clients with speech, language and communication
difficulties
- Plan and implement individual /small-group / classroom-based intervention
programmes
- Counsel and train staff and caregivers in the management of communication
difficulties of clients
