Friend of IDEA
IDEA Employment Development Centre welcomes individuals and coporations to contribute their time in teaching persons with intellectual challenges skills that can enable them to lead a more independent life. We also welcome volunteers to involve in our enrichment activities such as our clients' Year End Party, Annual Camp, the various festives celebrations where all these activities enable our clients to learn to live a more enriching lifestlye in a much relaxing and enjoyable manner apart from their daily work routine.
Our Current Volunteer Programme
Befriender
Befriender involves engaging in our enrichment activities with the objective of teaching our clients to learn to live a more enriching lifestyle in balance with their daily routine work.
Home Economics
Home Economics involves teaching our clients simple food preparation and cooking skills with the objective of assisting them to live a more independent lives.
Sports
The sports programme involves teaching our clients the importance of keeping their body fit through various sports such as bocce, soccer, swimming and track and field, etc.
Teaching
The teaching programme involves teaching our clients some academic skills such as time and number concepts which are useful for their daily lives. For those who are artistic, you are also welcomed to teach our clients arts and crafts skills so as to enhance the potential of their creativity.
