MINDS is a Voluntary Welfare Organisation and we embrace the Many Helping Hands approach as the keystone in the delivery of services to persons with intellectual disability in Singapore. Our schools and centres work closely with the community by welcoming volunteers to help in our programmes, activities and the daily operations.

If you are inspired to help MINDS and our people with intellectual disability, we want you.

A.   Regular Volunteers

For weekdays, we need volunteers who can come regularly or at least once a week to help in roles such as:

.   Volunteer Assistant Teachers, who can teach art, music or even swimming;

.   Volunteer Assistant Training Officers, who can support training programmes in the adult     services sector such as our Training & Development Centres.

At times, we also need Volunteer Drivers.

For weekends, we are recruiting volunteers for MINDS MYG to befriend and conduct activities with our clients. For more information, hop on to

All volunteers must be 18 years old and above.

For weekday volunteering, please complete the application form and return to

For weekend volunteering, please indicate your interest here.

B.   Ad hoc Volunteers

For ad hoc or one-time opportunities, we also look for volunteers who can organise outings, assist in behind-the-scenes work such as administration and building maintenance support.

C.   Professionals

We are also looking for professionals to donate their skills in medicine, food & nutrition, music/art/drama/wellness therapies and dentistry, photography and video making, etc

D.   Me Too! Club

Me Too! Club is looking for:

  1. Individuals who wish to conduct workshops for at least 10 weeks, one session per week. i.e. art and craft, cooking, baking, sports, physical activities, team bonding games, etc.

  2. Volunteers who wish to volunteer on Mondays, Wednesdays and/or Fridays 1-3pm every week for at least 6 months

    • Weekly activities include activities such as arts and crafts, sports, activities of daily living, etc. where clients and MTC volunteers will interact together. These weekly activities aim to empower our clients in terms of communication skills in order to make them feel less socially isolated. The venue of the weekly activities varies as per activity.

  3. Volunteers who want to do home visits for at least 6 months

    • The home visit programme is one where volunteers head down to clients' homes once a week to spend time with them and to get to know them better. Volunteers can also engage in other activities such as reading, writing, colouring, counting, walking around the neighbourhood, and other activities that they (as well as the caregivers) think is suitable for clients.
