Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological management and behavioural modification programs for clients with behavioural/other problems and are referred by the Heads, Training Officers and other Professional staff.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on behavioural intervention/counseling programs developed for clients in the Employment Development Centers or Training & Development Centers.
  • Oversee the effective implementation of behavioural intervention/counseling programs.
  • Participate in interviews with other professionals and heads for admission of clients.
  • Conduct psychological assessment on clients seeking admission.

Head Psychologist

The Head Psychologist is part of the Allied Health Professional (AHP) team comprising Psychologists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech Therapists. The Head Psychologist will work closely with the AHP Director and Heads of other disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform, support or lead where directed, the planning, fieldwork, and reporting of internal audit engagements to deliver agreed assurance objectives to established standards and timelines.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to the Psychologists’ work processes, intervention/ treatment plans, assessment skills and techniques used with clients.
  • Encourage staff in conducting relevant research to address service gaps and programme planning, with the aim of paper presentation in local and overseas forums and/ or publication in reputable scientific journals.

  • Provide at least 20-30% direct clinical work to maintain skills and relevance when providing supervision.

  • At least a Master degree in Clinical, Educational or Counselling Psychology.
