Assistant Manager - Employment Development Centre

Job Scope and Responsibilities:

Leadership & Centre’s Management

  • Deputise the Centre Manager in his/her absence
  • Provide coaching and mentoring for the junior staff
  • Assist the Centre Manager in team-building efforts

Trainee Management & Development

  • Survey and introduce innovative techniques and training methods to improve trainee engagement
  • Survey the international arena for new developments and interventions for the holistic development of the trainees
  • Supervise the formulation and implementation of individual training program
  • Ensure the adherence of assessment, monitoring and evaluation in the application of professional training methods
  • Work with AHPs to implement programs for trainees therapeutic development and interventions, and families to reinforce individual training program
  • Keep abreast in the judiciary and legal systems for new developments pertaining to the trainees’ well-being
  • Provides disciplinary management of trainees
  • Oversee the programs for trainees’ health and dietary management

Operations & Administration

  • Advise in the overall workshop operation management
  • Provide consultation for workshop logistics management
  • Monitoring of all business operations in the centre

Vocational & Employment Development

  • Facilitate the development and implementation of curriculum
  • Evaluation of training program
  • Preparatory training for Open Employment for trainees
  • Community mobility

Social Enterprises

  • Network for new social enterprises and employment opportunities
  • Participate to source and negotiate for sub-contracts

Event Management

  • Plan and organise events for trainees
  • Support external agencies that organise activities that develop the trainees (eg. Singapore Disability Sports Council, Special Olympics Singapore)
  • Support NCSS (ComChest) in fund raising and public education activities

Volunteer Management & Public Education

  • Networking with various agencies and corporations for sponsorships and support for the development of the trainees
  • Proactive in engaging community resources and enhance public awareness of the organisation and client group

Financial & Inventory Management

  • Assist and support the Manager in developing and monitoring the centre’s budget
  • Oversee Inventory management of the workshop and business enterprise
  • Building and estate management

Qualifications:

  • Degree in any discipline, preferably with certified training in Special Education, Disability Studies
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in middle management

Clerical Officer

Job Description:

  • General office administration

Qualifications:

  • GCE O/A level with English and Maths.
  • Computer literate.
  • 2 - 3 years relevant working experience.

Driver

Duties includes:

  • Ferrying clients for activities.
  • Collection of donations.
  • Despatching of documents.
  • Other duties, as directed.

Requirements
3 years of related working experience.

Physiotherapist

You will be responsible for the habilitative treatment programs of our clients’ individualized difficulties as well as group work in classrooms.
You are also likely to involve yourself in program development and other related duties.

Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy from accredited institutions.

Matron

Reporting to the Director, you will oversee a team of nursing staff and work closely with allied health professionals to attend to the health care needs of persons with intellectual disability in a residential facility.

Qualifications
Senior Registered Nurse with at least 7 years of experience.

Social Worker

You will carry out admission assessment, counselling, welfare assistance, home visits and program development. Ability to speak different Chinese dialects will be an addded advantage.

Qualifications:
Degree in Social Work from an accredited inistitution

Assistant Training Officers/Training Officers

You will supervise / coach trainees with intellectual disabilities in a sheltered workshop or training & development setting.

Qualifications:
GCE 'O' levels or Poly Diploma

You will assist with taking care of adults with intellectual disabilities.

Qualifications:
Primary 6 and above

Registered Nurse

You will work with a team of nursing aides and allied health staff to attend to the health care needs of persons with intellectual disability in a residential facility.

Qualifications:
Registered nurse with Nursing Diploma or Degree

Trainers/Therapist Aides

(A) Psychologist Aide

To assist the Psychologist in carrying out behaviour modification training programmes etc for adults residents with intellectual disabilities in a residential home setting.

(B) Occupational Therapist Aide

To assist the Occupational Therapist in providing occupational therapy and conducting intervention programmes for persons with intellectual disabilities in a residential home setting.

(C) Physiotherapist Aide

To assist the Physiotherapist in providing physiotherapy and conducting intervention programmes for persons with intellectual disabilities in a residential setting.

Qualifications:
Position A
Prior teaching/training experiences with persons with intellectual disabilities preferred.

Position B
Preferably with occupational therapy background. Applicants with physiotherapy background will also be considered.

Position C
Preferably with physiotherapy background.

To provide nursing care for intellectually disabled clients in a residential home setting.

Qualifications:
Preferably with nursing background with at least 1 year experience.

Qualifications:
Working experience and related certification in "food preparation" will be an added advantage
